Surveillance

In Central Europe surveillance  has often been misused by detective services, state authorities and just about everyone in between. In contrast, our surveillance  teams have had extraordinary success both in obtaining admissible evidence and successfully presenting such evidence to court.

Surveillance is typically used in the following situations:

  • To establish the activities of employees during supposed sick leave.
  • To establish the activities of individuals or former employees that may be feigning long-term disabilities due to insurance or sickness during insurance claim litigation.
  • To establish conflict-of-interest scenarios carried out by dishonest employees or management.
  • To determine product diversion schemes or to establish the sale of counterfeit goods.
  • To determine fact or fiction during marital infidelity cases.
  • To establish behavior patterns and gather evidence during child custody battles.

Here it should be emphasized that we also have extensive experience with regard to false injury claims with mulit-jurisdictional court proceedings. This is typically where less experienced investigators drop the ball, as the activities and report filing in one country may not necessarily pass mustard in a Western court. Our team will advise you or work with your legal team to dramatically increase the odds of not only court admissibility of findings and film/photographic evidence, but of you winning your case.

As we are also a licensed detective agency, CDDI goes beyond typical consultancy services in that needs ranging from pre-transaction to litigation support to asset searches can be and are conducted thoroughly and within the confines of the law. This not only guarantees court admissibility, but it also ensures that your firm does not fall prey to the trappings of Foreign Corrupt Practice Act or British Anti-Bribery infractions, as could be the case when using typical consultancies, which are often unlicensed even in their own respective countries--and which rely on subcontractors that they conveniently do not control. Key to our activities is continued access to legal expertise not only in the CEE but in the CIS countries, which paradoxically offers unique flexibility and a realistic approach to your specific scenarios or situations.
